2025 - 2026 Scheduled Events

 

Montgomery County Adults with Disabilities is a program based in Montgomery County, PA, dedicated to planning and facilitating community-based activities for adults with disabilities. Many of our participants are individuals with Autism, Down syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.​​


Monthly Community Program for Young Adults with Disabilities


A Yearlong Social Experience — One Sunday Per Month | Ages 22–29
This unique Monthly Activity Program is designed for young adults ages 22–29 with disabilities living in Montgomery County, PA. Structured as a yearlong cohort, participants commit to attending 9 sessions—one Sunday evening per month from September through June.

 

Each session features a different community-based activity, such as bowling, pottery painting, bingo, and more. All events are accessible, social, and thoughtfully planned to promote inclusion, confidence, and connection.

 

By staying with the same group all year, participants can:

  • Build meaningful friendships with peers in their age group

  • Experience a variety of fun, community-based events

  • Grow socially in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment


⚠️ Please note: This program is designed for individuals who are able to participate independently, without the support of a caregiver during events.
 

Cost:

  • $60 per event (9 events total)

  • One-time $100 annual registration fee


📍 Events take place at community locations across Montgomery County.

 

 

 

 


 

Montgomery County Adults with Disabilities (MontCoAWD) is dedicated to planning and organizing recreational events for Adults with Disabilities, ages 18–35, living in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and the surrounding counties. Events will include inclusive, community-based activities such as bowling, miniature golf, movie nights, video game challenges, and other popular local experiences. All events will take place at pre-established venues such as AMC Theaters, Thunderbird Lanes, and similar pre-established business locations.
 

Clients will pay a participation fee to join each event. This fee covers admission, the cost of the venue, and event coordination. Events will last approximately two hours, and clients will be dropped off and picked up by their parents or caregivers. Parents/Caregivers are encouraged to leave during the event to allow the clients space to engage independently with peers.
